Why back up registry?

How to back up registry?

The first one:
1) Download, install and launch Optimizer Tool
2) Point to Clean, click Registry Cleaner and click START SCAN
3) Please choose YES to back up the registry before your repair the registry errors
The second one:
1) Download, install and launch Optimizer Tool
